PRINCE Edward County Jazz Festival
Youth Ensemble
The Prince Edward County Jazz Youth Ensemble (PECJYE) is a band affiliated with the Prince Edward County Jazz Festival. It offers performance opportunities to talented high school students in the Quinte region who wish to grow as jazz musicians and play in a small band setting. Under the guidance of local teacher & trumpet player Blair Yarrington, the ensemble played through their third season in 2023 and shared their range of jazz repertoire with the PEC Jazz community at the 2023 Festival and at a number of other local venues.
The 2023 band featured Joseph Spinosa (Guitar), Jackson Harvey (Bass), Gabe Shillington (Piano), Rhys Thornton (Percussion) and Finn Dutton (Percussion).
